 Knuckleup: ‘Kings of the North’ Championship

Matt Hand and Dane Bowers are bringing explosive MMA action to Bolton Arena on Saturday September 4th.
The area has never seen a Mixed Martial Arts fight-card packing so much star power. The main event is UFC Veteran vs UFC Veteran. USA vs UK. One of the World’s top Submission Grapplers vs one of the most brutal fighters to come out of the North of England. Knuckleup presents, Jeff “The Snowman” Monson vs Neil “Old Skool” Wain… ...
The Snowman is a Professional Boxer and a six-time UFC veteran, who has also competed in Pride and many other top MMA organisations. But most fans expect Jeff Monson will be shooting for the take-down because Neil Wain will be swinging punches hard enough to take his head off. Monson is an animal on the ground. The two time Abu Dhabi Submission Wrestling Champion will wanting to crank on a joint lock or choke a submission out of his opponent fast, before Wain can smash him with one of his sledge-hammer fists!
In the co-main event, John Phillips vs Denniston Sutherland, there is more than the Knuckleup Middleweight Title on the line... There is history to this fight and revenge is in the air between these two ‘bangers’. Champion John Phillips wears the championship gold around his waist but his last defeat was to Denniston Sutherland on another show. The Champion wants to avenge one of the only losses on his record but Sutherland is back to finish what he started and become Knuckleup Champion in the process.
The action doesn’t stop there!!! The name of the show “Kings of the North” refers to the championship happening before the double main event. The best fighters from the North of England have been selected and matched in weight classes to fight each other for the title “King of the North”. They will then go on to represent the region in an epic battle between the North of England and the South, in the ultimate fight for bragging rights.
